If cross-country skiing is your passion, Pontresina is the perfect place to start. Numerous cross-country trails begin right in the village and are easily accessible from the hotel. After a hearty breakfast, simply put on your skis and head straight into the peaceful beauty of the Engadine landscape.

Up to 220 km of perfectly groomed cross-country trails await you, winding through spectacular Alpine scenery. And for those who want to make the most of the winter evening, you can also enjoy cross-country skiing on the illuminated night trail. A trail fee helps support the preparation and maintenance of the extensive cross-country network.

The Pontresina Cross-Country Ski School and Fähndrich Sport offer lessons and courses for both beginners and more experienced cross-country skiers.

At Gruber Sport, located directly opposite our hotel, you can also conveniently rent cross-country and Alpine ski equipment, as well as equipment for other winter activities.

Every March, thousands of cross-country skiing enthusiasts come to the Engadine to take part in the Engadin Skimarathon, one of the most important cross-country skiing events in the international calendar.
